A quite exceptional set of 6 (4+2) 17th century style oak chairs. The backs very finely carved with elaborate scrollwork, foliage and indentations. Heavily pierced and in quite extraordinary condition. Obviously from a first-class workshop. The carving particularly crisp and attractive. Measurements for the 2 armchairs H 51.5" x W 28" x D 18.5" Seat height 18.5" Measurements for the 4 other chairs H 45.5" x W 20.5" x D 17" Seat height 17.5".
