About the Item

An elegant and well made set that are also quite comfortable. Set of 12 Louis XVI dining chairs with cream paint decorated frame and faux suede leather upholstery. The chairs with serpentine front, balloon back, carved wheat sheave medallions, brass tack decorated around backrest and seat. The chairs are covered with contrasting silk fabric on back and they rest upon tapering and fluted legs. Dimensions: 22" W, 23" D, 18 1/2" seat height and 37" H Condition: Please see detail photos. The chairs exhibit good joinery and the finish is intentionally distressed. In addition to the intentional distressing, there are some age related nicks and chips to the frame and some old spots to the seats which do not greatly impact the exceptional French presentation.
