Set of 6 Chippenale Style Dining chairs made by Hampton and Sons, Pall Mall London. Each with red and blue wool patterned drop in serpentine shapes seats. X1 Head of Table Carver Chair + 5 Dining Chairs. The term "carver chair" is named after John Carver, the first governor of the Plymouth colony in America. The original carver chairs were ornately designed and produced in pairs to symbolize status and seated at the head of the table.
