Upholstered seat and back cushions sit atop a tubular steel frame for an extraordinarily comfortable seating experience. The back of the chair features hand tied saddle leather straps.

Set of ten American art deco mahogany dining chairs with streamline curved arms designed in 1938/1939 by Archibald Taylor A.I.D. for the Nob Hill residence of Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Scanlon, San Francisco.
The eleven room modernist apartment, designed by Taylor, was featured in Architectural Digest Volume XII Issue 4, 1950 (see images).
