Set of Eight French 19th Century Directoire St. Patinated Wood Dining Chairs

About the Item

An elegant and very unique complete set of eight French 19th century Directoire st. patinated wood dining chairs. Each chair is raised by lovely turned circular legs at the front with fine bands, lovely mottled tops, and most decorative lightly curved square legs at the back. Above the front legs are beautiful charming richly carved block rosettes flanking an attractive recessed mottle band which wraps around elegantly curved back. The upholstered back supports display exceptional and very unique curved shapes with fine scrolled and mottled wrap around bands. All original patina throughout. Seat Height: 20".
