About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this sublime suite of eight vintage ornately hand carved Mahogany dining chairs after the original by Thomas Chippendale These chairs are amazing, they seat very comfortable owing to the fact that the hand Victorian style coil sprung seat platforms with hessian padding. The frames are solid mahogany which has been carved all over by a master craftsman, the back splats look particularly special These chairs are after the originals by the genius that was Thomas Chippendale, the originals sell in the hundreds of thousands of pounds, they are highly collectable This suite here is for the furniture connoisseur, for someone who wants the finest style and quality but doesn’t want to sell their house to achieve it! We have cleaned waxed and polished them from top to bottom, may be the odd patina mark from genuine age and hones tuse X6 Standard chair dimensions Height:- 97.5cm, seat height 48cm Width:- 58cm Depth:- 61cm X2 Carver chair dimensions Height:- 97.5cm, seat height 49cm Width:- 61cm Depth:- 61cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
