A set of eight Swedish Gustavian style dining room side chairs from the 19th century with oval backs, striped upholstery and fluted legs. Born in Sweden during the 19th century, each of this set of eight dining chairs captures our attention with its delicate oval back, topped with a ribbon-carved crest. Covered with a striped upholstery, each chair is accented with an elegant apron adorned with twisted patterns and is raised on four fluted legs with arrow feet and carved accents on the knees. The chairs are painted in a soft color typical of the Scandinavian taste for light palettes aiming at brightening the homes during the long, dark winters. With their graceful Gustavian lines and exquisite carved décor, these eight Swedish 19th century side chairs will bring a touch of elegance to any dining room. Each seat is 14.75" deep.
