About the Item
Fantastic set of eight bespoke painted dining chairs made in the grand Louis XVI taste by William Switzer in Canada. Model number WS1A-0801AR shield back dining chairs feature a distinctive back inset with woven cane. The hand-made frames feature a stunning custom blue lacquer finish with gilt accents throughout. The generous seats have a stylized floral motif fabric bordered by patinated brass tack nail heads. The finish has an intentionally distressed patina to mimic age. The chairs and sturdy and strong with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. They are in very good, well-preserved condition with impressive finishes. The stunning color is a perfect anchor for a dining room. Sold as a set of eight. From a grand San Francisco, California estate.
