About the Item
An early 1950s four-piece set of mid-century modern live oak compass leg upholstered dining chairs by Indiana Chair Company.
Frames of solid live oak with substantial compass legs and cantilevered half-circle back. A very handsome design from every angle, and especially when viewed in profile.
With newer geometric-patterned chenille upholstery.
Paper label on underside, with handwritten description of model, wood type, and original upholstery color. Dimensions include newer glides, which are .38 inches high.

- Condition:Refinished. Reupholstered. Wear consistent with age and use. Very good refinished and reupholstered vintage condition. Two chairs w/ slightly more honey-toned color; less noticeable in person than in photos. One with lighter spots on backrest. Newer upholstery covers original upholstery in unknown condition.
