Set of Six Clifford Pascoe for Modernmasters Dining Chairs Circa 1950s

About the Item

A set of six wrought iron and bentwood dining chairs designed by Clifford Pascoe for Modernmasters Inc., circa 1950s. Likely inspired by a similar chair by Paul McCobb for Winchendon, Pascoe’s version was introduced to the market soon after and included in the 1952 Museum of Modern Art Good Design show. Each chair is upholstered in its beautifully preserved original hopsack, and since these were filled with cotton batting rather than foam, they escaped the dreaded crunchies and their intact condition is worthy of true collectors.
