Set of Six Cotswold School Arts and Crafts dining chairs
About the Item
A beautiful set of six Cotswold School dining chairs four single chairs and two carvers. The drop in seats have been recovered in a good quality black leather this is how they arrived with us, but it could be changed very easily. The chairs date from 1915 and were designed by Sir Ambrose Heal and made for his store Heal & Son in London. They are all strong with no wobble and sit very well. These are now quite rare having only seen 3 sets in my 35 years of dealing in this period. A great set of classic Arts and Crafts dining chairs by one of the most accomplished designers of the early twentieth century.
