About the Item

A superb set of six Danish vintage dining chairs by Erling Torvits. They were made in Denmark by Sorø Stolefabrik, they date from the 1960’s. The quality is outstanding, and they are beautifully crafted. The back rests have the iconic design by Erling Torvitz, where the top corners of the ladderback design upturn very gently. They are sturdy, sound and comfortable, they look amazing from all angles. The wood has a gorgeous colour tone and lovely grain patterns. We have had the frames stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the seat pads have been re-upholstered in a cream boucle fabric. The condition is superb throughout. Width – 51 cm , 20 inches Depth – 51 cm , 20 inches Height – 79 cm , 31 inches Seat height – 46 cm , 18 inches
