Set of Six Swedish Gustavian Style Painted Axet Dining Chairs
About the Item
Gorgeous set of six Swedish axet dining chairs crafted in the Gustavian taste. The chairs feature carved beech frames with a gracefully curved back. The back is decorated with wheat sheaf motifs on the crests. The frames have been painted with a cream tone matte finish having faded patina to mimic an 18th century piece. The generous seats have newly upholstered seat pads with a striped French pattern over a neutral ground. The seat aprons are decorated with neoclassical orbs having dots and rosettes on the front corners. The chairs are supported by turned, fluted legs conjoined by stretchers. The chairs are sturdy and strong with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. Sold as a set of six.
