About the Item
A superb set of twelve antique mahogany dining chairs of exceptional quality comprising ten side chairs and two carvers. Finely crafted in the late Victorian period these chairs are executed in the classic Chippendale style displaying beautifully carved pierced splats with acanthus scroll and foliate detailing.
The rich mahogany frames have an excellent colour and patina with fluted front legs and gently raked backs providing both elegance and comfort. The generous seats are traditionally upholstered in hand-dyed brown leather with a wonderfully aged finish and brass nailhead trim lending warmth and character.
A perfect blend of craftsmanship and timeless design, these chairs would complement both period and contemporary dining settings.
