A striking set of five Arkana 115 Tulip swivel chairs, designed in the 1960s by Maurice Burke, showcases the sleek elegance of mid-century modern style. These collectable chairs feature a sculpted white fibreglass seat shell that flows seamlessly into the backrest, paired with vivid red padded seat cushions for both comfort and visual impact.
Each chair is mounted on the distinctive four-point “starburst” swivel base, embossed with the original ARKANA 115 mark for authenticity. The design is inspired by the space-age aesthetic of the era, often compared to Eero Saarinen’s tulip series, and even gained pop-culture fame for its appearance in Star Trek’s Original Series.
