19th Century James Shoolbred London Victorian Gothic Oak Footrest Stool

About the Item

An unusual Victorian gothic oak footrest/stool made by James Shoolbred of London. Circa 1880. Maker's label. The footrest has shaped ends with pierced decoration, and scrolled sides to the main end. It is in very good condition and has been cleaned and waxed. There are some light signs of use, with the rest having some marks as expected and a small knock to the corner of one of the scrolls, please refer to the photographs. Sturdy with no loose joints. Additional dimensions information: The rest is 59cm wide x 23cm deep. James Shoolbred & Co were a firm of high quality furniture designers and manufacturers established in Tottenham Court Road, London. Shoolbred was among the Royal appointees in the 1880's - in this period they were making fine quality furniture in nearly all the fashionable tastes of the time. Delivery is INCLUDED in the price for all areas in MAINLAND England & Wales.
