FRENCH LOUIS XVI PAINTED FOOTSTOOL France, circa late 18th century Item # 206DGU29P-1 A very nice and petite footstool from the last quarter of the 18th-century, this lovely stool retains an old and beautifully patinated painted surface of overall gray with blue highlights of a later date. The toupie legs are fluted with ring-turnings while the apron molding is beautifully decorated with beads over carved floral flourishes while the panel over each leg is set with a carved acanthus rosette.
