Wimbledon-Furniture Wimbledon-Furniture is delighted to offer for auction this absolutely stunning hand made in England and of the finest quality five piece tub club suite in fully restored condition Please note the delivery fee listed is just a guide, for an accurate quote please send me your postcode and I’ll price it up for you There is around 50-100 high definition super-sized pictures at the bottom of this page Where to begin, firstly as mentioned this suite genuinely is the finest quality around, each piece comfortably weighs double that of the modern equivalent, the key features are as follows Feather filled cushions (they are exceptionally heavy) Coil sprung base Coil sprung back and side panels Sprung front panel (the section that sits behind your calves) Seat cushions fully upholstered with leather both sides with a velvet back Fully upholstered with fully aniline leather Solid oak and birch frame This suite is absolutely top of the line, to have this made today to this standard would cost well between £10,000 - £15,000 depending where you shop The cushions are exceptionally thick and densely passed with goose feathers, they are very comfortable and as noted above they are fully upholstered with leather both top and bottom sides so should the worse happen and you stain or damage one side then you can simply flip it over The front panel which is the section that sits behind the calves is sprung, usually this is a solid piece of wood, to fully spring this section is a masterclass in frame building, it makes for an exceptionally comfortable seat Condition The suite has been fully restored to include having the old colour stripped out, its then been hand dyed this deep cigar brown leather color six times with antiquing solution applied between the coats, its then been sealed and polished to the fantastic standard you see here. The leather is fully aniline which is untreated natural hide, it’s designed to show the natural imperfections of the hide to offer a more traditional look and feel. It’s also allot harder wearing The suite had scratches and marks all over from good honest use and wear, the restoration has made these blend into the general look and feel, this suite is stunning but in a vintage distressed gentleman’s club from the 1920s kind of way, if you are looking for neat perfection then this isn’t the suite for you, if you are looking for charm style and sophistication then it is I have included around 120 pictures of the suite below so you can see every single piece from every single angle warts and all, as you will see it is mind blowing beautiful Armchair dimensions Height 84.5cm Width 89.5cm Depth 85cm with the back to the wall to the front edge of the chair, 88cm to the front of the cushion Stool dimensions Height 38cm Width 68cm Depth 47.5cm Sofa dimensions Height 88.5cm Width 158.5cm Depth 89cm with the back to the wall to the front edge of the chair, 92cm to the front of the cushion Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask Any questions please feel free to ask before you bid Delivery or collection This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses SW19-3BE, we can have it delivered nationwide to include Scotland Wales and Ireland.
