About the Item

Full Rattan Living Room Set featuring 3 seater sofa with 2 matching lounge chairs, Biomorphic Coffee table with 2 matching Sky-Scraper-Style Side tables, 4 Panel Folding Screen and Magazine Rack. This 6-7 Stand Rattan collection an original Hawaii “Kamaaina-Family” custom designed and commissioned, made in Hawaii in the 1940s. The second owner, a professional Interior Designer, has owned and lovingly preserved this collection since the early 70’s. This unique set features a 2 tiered pretzel rattan arm sofa and chairs with a unique mahogany shelf underneath the armrest. The sofa and chairs are 6-Strand, with a 7th Strand sinuously forming the backs. Each side table comes with stacked rattan bases (Sky-Scraper Style) and solid, mahogany, biomorphic table tops. The Cocktail Table is also biomorphic, with solid and overhanging mahogany top, featuring 2 strand rattan forming its apron, below. The 4 Panel folding screen divider begins with a stacked rattan base and features a complex geometric pattern, starting one-third way up from the stacked base. Also included is a circular and shaped, rattan magazine or fire-log) rack.
