1950s Safari Lounge Chair & Ottoman in Canvas by Poul Hundevad

About the Item

This is a Safari armchair and coordinating ottoman, designed by Poul Hundevad for Vamdrup Denmark in 1950. The frames are constructed of teak and the set retains its original natural linen canvas upholstery. To find the chair with its accompanying ottoman is quite special. The chair measures 27.56 inches long, 25.6 inches wide, and 32.68 inches high. It has a seat height of 17.7 inches. There is a small rip on the top part of the canvas and some light wear to the fabric. There are some small white scuff marks to the bottom back legs, which we can do our best to address prior to shipping if desired. Overall, this duo is in good condition with some wear apparent. Please see photos.
