About the Item

Cattle horn furniture reached the height of its popularity in America in the 1880’s. This chair dates to around the last quarter of the 19th century. Most of these chairs originated in the American midwest including Kansas, Missouri, Illinois and as far as Texas. It is made in the finest tradition of American craftsmanship evoking the spirit and adventure of the Wild West. It is in very good condition given its age and use. The horns have a warm and mellow cream patina to them while the upholstery is of a French taupe woven knit fabric. Overall the chair and ottoman pleasantly exude a sense of home comfort with a rustic yet elegant style. It is truly a unique and eclectic piece in today’s modern world that is worth collecting and preserving for ages to come. DIMENSIONS: Width of chair: 25 in. (63.5 cm.) Depth of chair: 29 in.
