About the Item
A angled sculptural black iron framed Mid Century lounge chair with string woven back and seat bottom . Designed by Allan Gould in the 1950's it brought together two really different materials being heavy iron and light woven rope string . Before founding his own company Allan Gould Designs he was in the hunt to be Herman Millers top designer before George Nelson took over that position after which he formed his own line of iron and woven furniture . Also available is a chair frame only with no string woven around the frame at an extra cost .
