About the Item

Antique Slipper chair with ebonized legs on castors, late 19th century. Either you sit on it like a normal chair our you can turn around and use the backrest for arm support when reading a book. Hence the thick padding on top of the backrest. New high quality black and white patterned linen fabric from renowned Swedish linen manufacturer Växbo Lin. Lathed detail on the support wooden stems that holds the backrest. The castors are made by a British firm so it is likely a British chair. Excellent condition with very light ware.
