Lion Cachet studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Amsterdam and later worked in Paris and London, where he was exposed to the latest design trends and techniques. He returned to Amsterdam in the late 1890s and established his own furniture workshop, where he produced his most iconic designs.
His furniture designs were influenced by a range of styles, including the Arts and Crafts movement, Japanese art, and Art Nouveau. His designs often featured strong geometric shapes, intricate details, and a sophisticated use of materials.
Lion Cachet's designs were highly sought after by collectors and wealthy clients, and his work has been exhibited in several museums and galleries, including the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
