Pair of armchairs, mahogany, fabric, Europe, 1940s
This European set of armchairs from the 1940s reflects the influence of Art Deco design. The frame, executed in mahogany, is defined by clean lines and solid construction. Broad armrests extend into the legs, giving the piece a strong and architectural character. The seat, back and sides are upholstered in a patterned fabric in warm tones, which provides a subtle decorative accent to the otherwise restrained design. Comfortable in proportion and balanced in form, this armchair represents the practical elegance of European Art Deco furniture.
Kindly note that this set is in good, used condition, the fabric shows a small hole. Reupholstery can be done before shipping by our experienced craftspeople in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece contains its value and is ready for the many years to come.
