Augusto Magnaghi and Mario Terzaghi Pair of Lounge Chairs

About the Item

Augusto Magnaghi & Mario Terzaghi for F.B.G. Meda, pair of armchairs, original purple multicolored fabric upholstery, brass and lacquered metal, Italy, 1950s. These Italian easy chairs are designed by the Italian architect duo Augusto Magnaghi and Mario Terzaghi. The design is simplistic, with elegant, subtle lines. They show a certain futuristic aesthetic. The chairs are equipped with dark metal legs that are rectangular shaped and that end in a brass foot. The sturdy straight legs form a great contrast with the otherwise thick, flowing, elegant shell. The armrests are wide and therefore provide extra comfort. The back is thick and straight and leans backwards for comfort. Although the fabric has aged, it is still in good usable condition.
