The perfect balance between soft shapes, typical of the creations obtained through rotational molding, and thin thickness, which allows for the reduction of the physical and perceptive weight of a large object. Its design is inspired by the architecture of bridges, for this reason, it covers large lengths in spite of reduced sections. Comfortable and cozy, thanks to the adjustable backrest in different inclinations, Ponente can be used in gardens, pools, resorts, spas, and beauty centers. Ponente can be completed with a comfortable fabric and waterproof cushion.
Our stories happen in places precious to us. SLIDE was born from the desire to produce furniture and light to create the perfect atmosphere that highlights emotions.
Design is inspiration, surprise, joy. It's the amazement of seeing something unique for the first time. It's creating spaces to feel good and live surrounded by beauty. It means giving a personal imprint to indoor and outdoor spaces. It means choosing your ideal element that is the perfect setting for emotions and experiences, which become indelible memories. The founder Giò Colonna Romano knows this well, combining his fervent imagination with thirty years of know-how in the processing of plastic resins, giving birth to SLIDE in 2002. The first note of amazement is the luminous furniture, which immediately became a must have in the world of events. Since 2015, his son Marco Colonna Romano has taken over the reins of the company, with the same desire to grow and innovate as his father. Thanks to a new panache and the team of young people it surrounds itself with, SLIDE becomes a beloved company for outdoor furniture: new shapes, materials and tactile textures have won the hearts and ideas of architects and interior designers around the world. SLIDE has thus created complete collections and furnishings, with new shapes, whose lines arise from collaboration with internationally renowned designers of the caliber of Alessandro Mendini, Paola Navone, Stefano Giovannoni, Fabio Novembre, Marcel Wanders, Karim Rashid, Marc Sadler, Francesco Favaretto and Marcantonio.
New materials were chosen and inserted, initially soft and rigid polyurethane, and then comfortable cushions, waterproof fabrics, tactile textures ideal for completing the polyethylene furnishings with taste and class. But SLIDE does not forget its first essence, lighting: in recent years it has developed a line of much more technical lamps for large areas, essential in shape but with great visual impact. For the first time, Slide has managed to give an artisanal twist to an industrial process: to meet the increasingly high demands of living, the production creates non-replicable shades, in which every small imperfection enhances the industrial process and makes each piece unique . Because Slide's strength has always been the careful reading of the market, the creation of something that didn't exist and which then became necessary: here Slide continues its production in Buccinasco, on the outskirts of Milan, but its name and its products reach more than 130 countries around the world.

Galerie Philia
Galerie Philia is an international contemporary sculptural design and art gallery representing emerging and established designers and artists. The gallery is the brainchild of two brothers who share a lifetime passion for art, literature and philosophy. Their distinct academic background sets them apart from their peers, as it sees them following a rhizomatic and transcultural approach in the way they select works. This involves combining elements from multiple cultures in what becomes a network of harmoniously interconnected roots, ultimately revealing the beauty of each unique creation. The gallery’s non-hierarchical curation sits apart from the ephemerality of trends and focuses instead on the true aesthetic quality of the piece – alluring and timeless. Unlike others, Galerie Philia does not focus on a single style – whether minimalist, organic or raw – but rather embraces heterogeneity. The Galerie Philia takes pride in discovering new talents, providing them with multiple international platforms to showcase their latest creations. As well as propelling the newest generation of 21st century collectible design, Galerie Philia also works with internationally known design artists. Galerie Philia has a strong international presence, with galleries in Geneva, New York and Singapore. In addition to their permanent spaces, the gallery organizes temporary group exhibitions and artists residencies in first-class locations around the world.

Midcentury Brown Fabric and Chrome Steel Chaise Longue, Paul Tuttle Style, 1980s
By Paul Tuttle
Located in Roma, IT
Amazing midcentury brown fabric and chromed steel chaise longue. This wonderful daybed is attributed to the American designer Paul Tuttle and was produced during the 1980s.
This item is wonderful because of the structure of the chair, made of chromed steel and the tobacco brown fabric cover, made in one piece and adhering on the structure. The cover can be unsheathed from the back.
The piece is incredibly elegant because of the structure and will smarten a living room or a midcentury studio.
Paul Tuttle started out working in the studio of designer Alvin Lustig in Los Angeles. He soon received the Frank Lloyd Wright Taliesin West Fellowship, an apprenticeship program with mentorship from Wright himself. Tuttle moved to Taliesin West in Scottsdale, Arizona, and impressed Wright during his short stay of four months. Tuttle then moved back to Los Angeles and worked on furniture building by himself awhile, before serving as an apprentice to architecture firms Welton Becket & Associates and Thornton Ladd & Associates. As an apprentice, Tuttle worked on interior design. In 1956, Tuttle moved to Santa Barbara where he met Hans Grether, owner of the Swiss pharmaceutical company Doestch, Grether & Cie. Grether hired Tuttle as a design consultant shortly thereafter.
In 1966 Tuttle gave a solo exhibition at the Pasadena Art Museum, cementing his position as a leading American designer. He also won the first ever Carson Pirie Scott Young Designer Award for the popular "Z" Chair in 1966. The design for the "Z" Chair, originally known as the "Rocket Launcher" would become Tuttle's most well known work. Tuttle was hired by Strassle in 1967 as a designer, and subsequently spent half his time abroad in Switzerland until he left the position in 1983. In 1978, Tuttle's work was featured in a solo exhibit called "Paul Tuttle, Designer" at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art. After leaving his designer position at Strassle, Tuttle continued at Strassle on a royalty only...
