Jens Houmøller Klemmensen - 1939 Armchair This armchair is a variant of the model first presented at the 1936 Cabinetmakers’ Guild Exhibition in Copenhagen and designed by award-winning Danish architect Jens Houmøller Klemmensen. This variant was produced by master cabinetmaker Peder Pedersen, c1939 for the Magasin Du Nord department store in Copenhagen. This official re-edition has been developed by Dagmar Design in conjunction with the estate of Jens Houmoller Klemmensen and hand-made at our workshops in London using the highest quality materials. The frame is constructed from solid beech wood with a fully sprung seat. The 1939 chair is available to order in a range of different shearling colours and fabrics including client supplied materials. There are also 5 legs finishes to choose from. This example shown is upholstered in Moonlight sheepskin with stained beech legs.
