Danish 1940s Lounge Chairs with Elmwood Armrests
About the Item
Beautiful and very unique Danish 1940s lounge chair with nicely carved armrest in blond lacquered elmwood. Light elegant design in the style of Alfred Christensen and Fritz Hansen although we are not aware of the maker or Designer of the chair. The base has many similarties to Slagelse Mobelvaerk and looks like their work but the frame is not marked or known from theirs catalogs so we don't know for sure. Solid and sturdy build quality and very comfortable. Re-upholstered at a later point in a yellow wool fabric that remains in usable condition showing just some wear maily on the cord. Just minor age appropriate wear to the armrests and legs. Overall very good condition. We recommend having the chair reupholstered and can offer great very competitive rates on reupholstery with your fabric.
