Falcon chair, design Sigurd Ressell, wood and brown leather version
About the Item
Falcon chair designed by the Norwegian designer Sigurd Ressell (1920-2010) and produced by the Norwegian manufacturer Vatne in 1970. Like a suspended hammock, the chair is made up of a strong fabric linked to the base by 4 chromed steel buckles held in place by leather edges and covered with a large cushion and headrest, also in leather. The beechwood frame is made up of four flexible arms linked to the underside of the seat, giving a wonderful feeling of suspension when you sit down. Two press studs at the back allow the leather cushion to be adjusted and connected to the fabric. This model has been successfully produced since 1970, first with a steel base, then from 1974 with a much lighter wooden base that makes it very easy to move around. (Some very slight signs of use at the back and top of the uprights). The chair can be dismantled to reduce transport costs, ask for a new quote if interested. There is only 8 screw (2 on each feet) to reassemble the structure, so it is quite easy to manage. Then the parcel could be really smaller and cheeper to send ;-)
