Art Deco Finnish Lounge Chairs, Ivory Boucle, Made by Asko, Finland 1935
About the Item
Finnish Lounge chairs produced by the manufacturer Asko Finland in 1935. The seats have been reupholstered in a sturdy Ivory Boucle fabric. The wood frame is painted black and has some nice worn areas that form a striking contrast with the newly upholstered seats. A true vintage find.
Finnish design company Asko was founded in Lahti in 1918 by cabinetmaker Aukusti Avonius. Over the last 100 years, Asko has grown into one of the largest Finnish furniture and appliances brands, with great successes in exporting Finnish designs abroad.
