Frits Schlegel 1940s Lounge Chair

About the Item

Handcrafted in the 1940s, this Danish Modern chair was designed by Frits Schlegel. It features a bentwood oak frame with a dark finish. The new upholstery is a striped linen weave with a bold palette of red and blue. Noteworthy design features include the elegantly curved arms and slatted back. The front legs are straight while the back legs taper downward and are slightly splayed. Dimensions: 25.5 in. width 27 in. depth 31 in. height 23 in. arm height 17.5 in. seat height 18.5 in. seat depth Condition notes: In good condition, with general surface wear to the arms and legs, including scuffs and light scratches, all consistent with the chair's age and use. Newly reupholstered.
