Stunning pair of French armchairs manufactured by Galerie l'Orme in Paris. Executed in solid elm, these chairs exhibit a sturdy wooden frame with soft rounded corners that result in a subtile organic look. Thick saddle leather is used to furnish the seat and backrest and shows a beautiful patina suitable for this pair's age. The application of elm wood in furniture design is considered typical for French modern design. This pair shows similarities to Pierre Chapo's work and his preferred used materials.
