About the Item

Superb shaped pair of “Genius” lounge chairs designed by Illum Wikkelsø and manufactured by CFC Silkeborg, Denmark 1960. These elegant chairs have a beautiful open character. The cylindrical solid rosewood legs run smoothly over into the back and armrests. The cross-connections create a nice ladder. Slightly curved make the back and arms not only an interesting addition to the design, they also make these chairs very comfortable. The soft cushions are upholstered in cognac leather. The leather is in great condition. Minor traces of age and use are visible and create a very nice patina. The chairs are marked with a Silkeborg metal tag underneath the seat. Stunning and very interesting pair of lounge chairs in a fantastic original condition. An incredible catch for any modern home, office or interior. Like all of our upholstered pieces these chairs can also be newly upholstered to your wishes. Ask our upholstery department for a very affordable quote.
