Italian Wingback Chair in Maroon Fabric

About the Item

Wingback armchair, fabric, wood, Italy, 1950s. This classic Italian wingback chair has all the traits of midcentury Italian design. The unusually high back, the gracious wings, the grand armrests and delicate tapered wooden legs form the main aesthetic elements of this theatrical chair. The color combination of this chair is warm and enhancing as the darkened wooden legs form a timeless combination with the maroon red fabric. The chair is most often compared and attributed to the architectural, gracious style of Gio Ponti. Please note that this item is in good, used condition.
