Jindrich Halabala Attributed Bentwood Lounge Chair
About the Item
20th century Czech design icon Jindrich Halabala believed seating should be designed to fit the shape of the human body. It should not only be comfortable but also help the body relax. His success in creating designs that did just that is likely why his seating endures. Although he designed everything from carpeting to sideboards, it’s his seating, particularly his bentwood lounge chairs that are his most sought after creations. He was an accomplished woodworker and used the unconventional technique of bending wood, to accomplish most of his designs.
