Georg Thams was a German industrial designer born in 1935 in Flensburg and died in 2016 in Tønder, Denmark. He studied at the Flensburg School of Applied Arts and began his career working as a carpenter before turning to industrial design. In the 1960s, he moved to Denmark to work for the renowned furniture design company FDB Møbler, where he worked alongside such greats as Børge Mogensen and Poul M. Volther.
