Pair of safari chairs, patinated leather, oak, Europe, 1950s.
This elegant pair of safari chairs features wonderful patinated leather on both the seat, the arms and back. The patina creates a lively and lived-in character that is achieved because years and years of wear and use of these chairs. The straps on the woven seat form a thick, well-constructed yet aesthetic pattern. The leather armrests are a wonderful detail to this design.
