This rare and exceptional pair of Danish modern lounge chairs, attributed to Viggo Boesen and produced by the distinguished cabinetmakers at Hos Wulff in Copenhagen during the 1930s, embodies the sculptural softness and organic elegance that defined Boesen’s contribution to early Danish modernism. Restored with the utmost respect for historical authenticity, the chairs retain their original copper springs —an esteemed hallmark of superior upholstery craftsmanship from the period—ensuring both durability and luxurious comfort. Only organic padding materials are used like of the period. The frames and armrests have been delicately refinished, highlighting the warmth of the wood while preserving its original character and integrity.

Known under the name McNutt in Danish Art Weaving’s collection, this textile is among the finest handwoven wool fabrics in the world.
