Voguish pair of mid century, hollywood regency style lounge chairs, design reminiscent of Robsjohn Gibbings, attributed to John Widdicomb. Constructed of solid wood, probably walnut, the chairs feature a sophisticated elegant low profile, with sculptural arm rests, tapering legs with brass sabot, and a slatted back rest.
Both chairs are structurally sound and sturdy, both show significant cosmetic wear to their finish, and both need new cushions.
