About the Item

This pair of lounge chairs is an elegant and comfortable evidence of the mastery and artistry of the Scandinavian cabinetmakers who defined mid-20th century modern seating. These pieces are of the highest quality, both in terms of design, materials, and craftsmanship. Scandinavian furniture from the mid-20th century revolutionized the history of what we consider modern design today. Scandinavian chairs in particular have become unrivalled references in it. Cabinetmaker chairs from the era may seem similar at first sight; however, each model’s individuality becomes evident upon closer inspection. This pair of lounge chairs stand out for their elongated look that is particularly apparent from the sides. They are inherently elegant and cosy to look at and to sit in, making them true to their mid-century modern heritage. The sculptural look is apparent despite the fully upholstered bodies, with voluminous, rounded shapes dominating the design.
