About the Item

Swedish midcentury modern upholstered chair with walnut colored wood inlays/accents and base made by Holm's Fabriker AB. The wooden accents are built in to the chair according to Swedish tradition and adds an upscale flair and elegance. Rounded organic contours almost tub like and we love the low wide proportions. Made in the 1960's but very innovative and design wise ahead of it's time. Rare find in very good condition - the original padding and fabric is in still clean useable condition. We can offer reupholstery services for this chair at very competitive prices. We have a matching sofa as well. Marked by the Manufacturer. Karl Holm established his factory in 1918 producing sofa frames as a specialty. As time went on, the company began to specialize in the production of reclining sofas with its own patents, but armchairs and other furniture were also produced. The company survived until the 1970s when it closed up shop.
