About the Item
This D35 Kinetic leather armchair is in excellent condition. It features black plastic weave with black leather. The leather is soft and in excellent condition; the weave has been re-tied and knotted once on the underside of the seat. The chrome on the frame is in mint condition.
Hungarian Anton Lorenz is one of the key figures in Bauhaus design and tubular steel furniture. He took Mart Stam's cantilever chair concept and, in the late 1920s, developed various tubular steel icons based on it, including this D35. The German manufacturer Tecta, dedicated to Bauhaus design, took the D35 concept and further developed it into the current Kinetic version, in which the seat can be moved backward using body pressure.
