Tubular Lounge Chair in Chromed Metal and Ochre Élitis Bouclé, Germany, 1970s

About the Item

This striking lounge chair was produced in Germany in the 1970s. The tubular frame is made of chromed steel. The beautiful curved lines of the legs and frame are a reference to the Bauhaus style. The continuous line of the backrest and the back legs make this an attractive design from all angles. The seat is shaped by the sumptuous cushions, which are rounded throughout. The ochre yellow color of the wool bouclé fabric offers a beautiful contrast with the chrome finish of the metal. This luxurious Élitis fabric has a refined texture and abstract striped pattern, giving the fabric more depth. The cushions have been finished with buttoned details throughout. This very comfortable and versatile lounge chair is in very good condition. The cushions have been fully reconditioned and newly upholstered.
