About the Item
If you think these lounge chairs are tipycally Eighties, think again: for how incredible it might seem, Gianni Moscatelli designed these beauties in 1969 for italian furniture brand Formanova. The choice of materials was definitely futuristic back then, as the slanted legs are manufactured from stainless steel and the shell is entirely upholstered in black leather, in a style that would not take on until almost ten years later, in the mid to late Seventies.
Preserved for over fifty years, these two chairs are still extremely contemporary today, and will look great in any vintage inspired living room. They are comfortable, wide, and can be set up both separate or joined as a single sofa.
The structure of both chairs is preserved in original, untouched conditions (still retaining the Formanova label), while the cushions have recently been redone in a decorative grey fabric from the 2022 Dedar Milano collection, with an embroidered "C" motif. The legs have been preserved "as is" with oxidisation from time, as some collectors prefer to have their pieces as original as possible. However, we can also clean them before delivering the chairs.
