About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale 1 of 2 exceptional pair of fully restored period Victorian original Chesterfield club office chairs in Tobacco brown hand-dyed leather upholstery This auction is for one with the option to buy the pair Pretty much the finest looking and handmade in England pair you will ever see, the style is that of the traditional gentleman’s club armchair shrunk to fit the size of a captains office chair. They are still wider and dare I say allot more comfortable than a traditional office chair. The front line which is all hand antique studded is very sculptural, the buttoning is all even and perfectly aligned For the restoration we have stripped the old colour back to the natural hide, the chairs have then been hand dyed and antiqued six times which gives them this wonderful period look and feel. Each of these pieces is completely bespoke so these will be the only pair of this style in the world and the only chairs with this exact colour Dimensions: Height 73cm Width 85.5cm Depth 68cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point. This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses. Condition: Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
