19th Century French Louis Philippe Carved Walnut and Velvet Desk Armchair

About the Item

Decorate an office with this elegant antique armchair. Crafted in France, circa 1860, and built of walnut, the armchair sits on serpentine legs ending with scrolled feet, over a bombe apron. The chair features a rounded and arched back, side armrests, and a wide and deep cushioned seat upholstered with an olive green velvet, and embellished with decorative brass nail heads. The simple, streamlined, barrel shaped chair is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina. Complete a man's study with this comfortable and sturdy seating. Measures: 24" W x 23.5" D x 30" H.
