Art & Crafts Oak and Leather Office Chair In The Richard Riemerschmid Manner 2

About the Item

Arts & Crafts oak and leather desk chair, Jugendstil, in the Richard Riemerschmid manner. Retailer's label: Solomon Bros, London. Circa 1900. The chair has a continuous arm around the peg constructed shaped back. The drop-in seat has been reupholstered and the leather hide seating has been professionally hand dyed and finished, giving character and an antique appearance. The leather is brown in colour with a hint of olive green. The chair is very sturdy and has no loose joints. It is very comfortable, with the shaped back being a good support for the back. The oak surface has been polished and waxed. This is in very good condition, showing a few light marks in places. The front stretcher and front legs show knocks with use, and there is a slight knock to the bottom of a back leg. We have two of these chairs available. The chair is 57cm wide at the arms, the seat is 51cm high. The front inside of the arms width is 46cm Delivery is INCLUDED in the price for all areas in MAINLAND England & Wales. .
