Royal House Antiques Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this stunning original, circa 1830 hand carved solid Walnut Ship captains swivel armchair with early dark petrol green / black leather upholstery Please note the delivery fee listed is just a guide, it covers within the M25 only for the UK and local Europe only for international, if you would like an accurate quote, please send me your postcode and I’ll provide you with the exact price. A very good looking well made and super decorative captains chair, we have left it totally original including the leather and padding which is horse hair filled. The upholstery is heavily worn, it would have originally been dark green but its a petrol colour now due to age and being oiled and waxed, the frame is sublime, beautifully carved especially on the ends of the arms Condition wise, the chair will retain all its original patina and ware as you can see in the pictures, it has various sections of wear to the upholstery, the right arm has been patched, this chair is all about originality, you will be able able to find restored versions of this piece but something is only ever original once and this is it Dimensions Height:- 92cm Width:- 71cm Depth:- 80cm Seat Height:- 47.5cm Measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask. Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
