Antique Victorian Steel and Leather Rocking Chair by Peter Cooper for R.W Winfie

About the Item

An iconic and beautiful design, this is an antique Victorian steel and leather rocking chair by Peter Cooper for R.W Winfield. It was made in England, it dates from around the 1880-1900 period. The quality is outstanding, this is extremely comfortable and looks amazing from all angles. The steel frame has brass rivets and a slatted wooden base beneath the leather cushions. The back of the cushions are a canvass fabric. We have had the leather revived and hand coloured, the frame shows some minor signs of surface wear and patina. Overall, the condition is excellent for its age, with no damage to be seen. Width – 25 inches , 64 cm Depth – 39 inches , 99 cm Height – 42 inches , 106 cm Seat height – 16 inches , 41 cm
